The Fresno Film Series is a non-profit event with proceeds going to the purchase of equipment and film distribution rights.The committee meets to choose, discuss and banter about which films to show. The Jewish community of Fresno has generously shown their support by purchasing tickets and filling up the "theater" at Temple Beth Israel. Our thanks go to the Jewish Federation of Fresno for initially providing us with the equipment to show the films and to all who support our efforts to bring this art form to Fresno. We are happy to report that currently we are totally self-supporting with the sales of tickets.

Fresno Jewish Film Series Mission
The Fresno Jewish Film Series Committee is dedicated to using film for its contemporary and popular value to celebrate Jewish culture and to reflect the diversity and richness of the Jewish experience. Founded in 2003, the Fresno Jewish Film Series has grown in size and reputation and brings to audiences an assortment of dramas, comedies, documentaries and short length films depicting Jewish life from different times and places around the globe. The committee seeks to use the power of film and video to both entertain and educate, while also challenging conventional perspectives on complex and challenging issues facing the Jewish people and world community alike. You will find variations of love and friendship, self exploration, family interaction and dynamics and cultural diversity.
